He’s back, you know
in a poorly cut suit
and too long a tie
Once again telling the imprisoned Christ
or rather, the hostage Church,
what is wrong in the world this time around.
That compassion makes one weak
That generosity is for losers
and that freedom
is only for the ruling class
(not that anyone truly wants freedom -
They want bread and circuses, remember?)
and everyone should be okay with that
because they are free to one day
become like him
a self-made man
who chose his parents well.
