(With apologies to Don McLean)

Long, long time ago, I can still remember
How that blue bird made me smile.
And I knew if I had my phone
that I could make some people groan
and maybe hate puns less for just a while.

But November made me shiver
with every bad joke I delivered.
Bad news on the timeline
(bad time to give up wine)

I can’t remember if I cried
when I heard about Musk’s Twitter buy
But something touched me deep inside
the day that Twitter died.

Bye, bye you cute little bird
One-forty or Two-eighty
still Trump was absurd
them good ol’ boys would tweet lots of turd
singing “here’s a good place to tell lies”
Here’s a good place to tell lies

Oh and while Elon was looking down
The Dev team stole his thorny crown
The office was locked secure
No one could return
